About Us

Who We Are

Unlike other data companies that demonize spreadsheets, we love them! They are great for exploring data and presenting data, but they are not great data sources. Rounding up the various spreadsheets needed to augment and enrich your analytics can be a tedious chore. We call that the problem of “Small Data,” and we have solved that by creating a CRUD utility for Snowflake.

What We Are

Snowfront is a front end to your Snowflake data warehouse allowing business users to update existing tables then submit for approval with comments while keeping a log of all changes. Permissions start with Snowflake and can only be restricted (not expanded) in Snowfront.

Why We Are

Before Snowfront, we were building data products. We captured all the data in the ERP and CRM systems, but there were always data sets housed in spreadsheets that were difficult to sync with the live environment: shadow data. While it’s possible to engineer ways to push this data to Snowflake, we figured the easiest way was to simply let business users have access to the tables, but not directly; we needed front end for CRUD operations. So we built Snowfront.
